THE SPANISH SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP IS READY TO KICK OFF

The ESBK Spanish Superbike Championship kicks off this weekend at the Circuito de Jerez Ángel Nieto. The new season will be as full of emotion as ever and begins with impressive television coverage.

For the second consecutive year, the RFME undertakes to stream every race Sunday on the RFME Youtube and Facebook channels. To ensure the best transmission, the Federation has set up a study in each circuit where renowned guests from each category will be present to comment on what is happening on the track.

Not just streaming though. From this year RTVE will offer the queen category of ESBK within its program schedule: Superbike. In addition, the RTVE Play platform will also broadcast the SBK Junior races.

As if that weren’t enough, DAZN will offer a 30-minute maxi-synthesis with the best of the weekend.

Who will be the 2022 champion?
Moto4, PreMoto3, SBK Junior, Supersport NG and Superbike will be the categories that will race during each round, in addition to the Women’s SBK and the Handy ESBK, a class reserved for riders with physical disabilities.

As every year, the level continues to rise in all categories. However, the Queen class is still impressive: this year in Superbike there will be riders of the stature of Tito Rabat, Maxi Scheib, Eric Granado, Óscar Gutiérrez or Román Ramos who will try to snatch the title from the current champion Ivo Lopes.

Format and calendar
The double race format is also repeated in 2022 (one Saturday and the other Sunday): the result will be 14 appointments in 7 rounds, divided between April and October. Nothing more and nothing less than 350 points up for grabs to win the coveted title of Champion of Spain.
