WOMEN’S EUROPEAN CUP: 2021 SEASON BEGINS AT MUGELLO

The long wait is finally over! Preparations are underway at the Mugello Circuit, the opening stage of the Women’s European Cup 2021, which on the weekend of April 16 18 will host the inaugural double round alongside the CIV calendar. The second edition of the Women’s Championship celebrates the results of the debut season, where despite the huge organizational problems caused by the pandemic, it managed to go beyond expectations in terms of success. Born in an unfortunate year, the competition reserved exclusively for women was completed regularly thanks mainly to the efforts of the FMI e FIM europe and the organizers EMG Eventi and MotoXracing Team, without forgetting the commitment and determination of the protagonists, able to give us spectacular races. For 2021 the trophy is not only renewed, but actually relaunched! In fact, 24 girls are intent on fighting each other on the grid, with almost all the reconfirmations compared to last season and new registrations from Europe and beyond; Chile, Israel, Turkey, Russia, the Czech Republic and Spain are some of the countries of origin of the athletes ready to engage in the demanding 2021 calendar, which also includes a round abroad, precisely on the Croatian circuit of Rijeka. A Championship that therefore boasts increasing prestige and that will also see the entry of a new manufacturer; KTM is added to Yamaha and Kawasaki, demonstrating the attention that the giants of motorcycling are turning to the women’s trophy.

At last we are… in such a difficult time for everyone , we can say that we see a small glimmer of normality with the start of this new edition of the ELF CIV 2021 and with it the second edition of the Women’s European Cup. A particularly interesting edition , given the introduction of the stage in Croatia (Rijeka 26/27 June), as part of the European Championship FIM Europe. And especially for the number of presences of Pilote , which from 15 units last year , passes to 24 presences!! For us a satisfaction to see so many girls present at our format , I repeat in such a difficult time for the entire globe! Sign that the Format likes Pilote and Team , and especially the pleasure of having 3 brands of motorcycles (Yamaha/ Kawasaki and KTM) and 9 nations from all over the world present!
New for the 2021 season , the introduction of additional points to the final classification for the Pole Position (1point) and the Best Lap (1 point) for each event. First format in Europe to introduce this news.
That said I just have to meet you this week , to live with us the race weekend where we will immediately double race! Through our social channels(FB and IG Womenscup_official) and Eleven Sport and Ms Motortv (sky 813) you will be able to follow live streaming all the races of the season 2021. Appointment then on Friday, April 16 with free practice and the first session of qualifying on the Tuscan track. Saturday morning the start of the second round of qualifying, followed by Round 1 with the race in the afternoon(time 4.50 PM), over a distance of 10 laps. Same laps for Race 2 (valid for Round 2), scheduled for the morning of Sunday(time 10.45 AM). Unfortunately, due to the protracted health emergency, the event will be behind closed doors and therefore no public access is foreseen.
